About Us

St. Rose of Lima’s College Alumni Association was officially launched as the sole recognised alumni association by Franciscan Missionaries of Mary on 8 August 2026. We are committed to fostering and promoting unity, close friendship and welfare among members and past and present students of the College. We serve as a medium through which up-to-date news of the College is communicated to Members and vice versa. ​

St. Rose of Lima’s School was founded on 23 February 1948 by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary as a government-subsidised school for girls with a strong emphasis on moral upbringing. From its early years offering primary education and limited secondary classes, the school expanded steadily. Students sat the HKCEE, with the first Arts A-level class in 1986 and the first Science A-level class in 1991. The Students’ Union was inaugurated in 1992 and the Parent-Teacher Association in 1997.

In September 1999 the secondary section relocated to 29 Ngan Shing Street, Shatin, and became known as St. Rose of Lima’s College, while the original premises at 4 Embankment Road were dedicated to the primary school.

Today the Alumni Association continues this proud tradition, uniting Rosians across generations and strengthening the bonds of friendship within the College community.
